Blowin' Off Steam

We drove up to Johnston Ridge yesterday to visit the volcano. And we were lucky witnesses to a minor event....Mt. St. Helens let off some steam yesterday! The exhibits were interesting and landscape was beautiful albeit a bit creepy. Something about the tree skeletons which punctured perfect (almost too perfect bordering on unnatural) stands of willow and fir trees replanted after the blast gave me the skeeves but it was fascinating nonetheless.
