Leaving the City Behind

A little bit of trash talking and a fun little race in the countryside lead to yet another PR. I'd say my season has started off well. Click here for the race report.....

Moo

OK, so a cow really has nothing to do with triathlon but the logo on my race shirt has them and a barn to boot. Must be an homage to a previous era in Hillsboro. But with Intel across the street and Yahoo down the road, you wouldn't realize it.

I digress....I raced today, first triathlon of the season. I was visualizing sub-1:20 all week long despite not tapering (bad habit, I know) and I got oh.so.close. How close? Well click on over to hobeysports to find out!

Clearly I Should Train More

It would keep me out of the kitchen. From left-to-right: chocolate covered candied oranges, honey vanilla pound cake, strawberry frozen yogurt. Or I should stop reading food blogs since I'm way too impressionable.

Just Du It

I raced my first ever duathlon today. It was fun but I can't see hanging up my wetsuit any time soon. Click here for the race report...

March At The Races

A few races for us this month. Chad & Nathan ran Shamrock a few weeks ago and I kept my streak alive and scored some hardware at Wheatfield. Since I'm pretty convinced Chad won't be writing a race report, you'll have to settle for Nathan's and mine.

Can It Be?

The first finished object of 2009. About time too. I started these socks last summer. Ridiculously easy knit but they languished in the knitting basket forever despite gentle nudges from Nathan. A simple 3X1 rib in Rainbow tweed. I've named it after Harry Potter's most lovable house elf.
