We went home to Michigan for Labor Day weekend to visit with both sides of the family including the Karps! While there, we admired my parents' new house (beautiful), Chad's dad's new boat (awesome...though I did get seasick on the lake), and tried to predict the sex of Leah & Steven's baby (girls all around with Chad dissenting from popular opinion). Nathan discovered rhythm on mom's piano and the joys of swimming in Lake Michigan. Good times all around.

In fiberly pursuits, Leah persuaded me to actually start *dropping* my drop spindle. It definitely makes for a neater ply and I did get pretty good at it and managed to spin a full spindle and got a good start on a second spindle for plying.
