A Weekend in Beantown

I have been most remiss with my blogging lately but in my defense, work has been busy and we've just returned from a few long weekends out of town. We just got back from Boston where Chad ran the 112th Boston Marathon and just missed his sub-3 hour goal by seven measly little seconds. One of our friends maintains he ran a 2:59:59 when you correct for the 7 mph headwind. You can read all about the race by clicking here.

It was a fun weekend filled with the US Women's Olympic Trials, meeting friends, and cheering on all the marathoners.

Team Red Lizard's (our running club) own Wendy Terris (in red of course). She did the double last weekend in 2:55 and 3:03 respectively. She's an animal!

Magdalena Lewy Boulet took the lead early and held on to it for most of the race, eventually ceding the win to Deena Kastor.

Meeting up with our friends Thor & Heather at Boston Beer Works. They just returned from their honeymoon where Thor was the third American in the London Marathon. The nut also ran Boston as a "recovery run".
