Sock Fiend

You'd think there was a sock shortage given how many pairs I've knit this year. Socks are arguably the perfect knitting project - small, as easy or complex as you want them to be, and pretty darn close to instant gratification. I'm addicted and collecting sock patterns like they're going extinct. 

The most recent beneficiary? Chad with his tweedy Wafflers, adapted from the Diamond Waffle Socks from Knitty. Actually, the only similarity is the waffle stitch and the eye of partridge heel flap. Everything else from the yarn weight to the construction was different. Sometimes patterns are mere suggestions.
