Nodding Off

I realize there has been a lack of fiber related post lately but I'm not one to spoil any holiday surprises. I have done some non-gift fiber activities though. I played with my newly made niddy-noddy! What is a niddy-noddy? It's a tool for winding skeins. You can learn how to make your own here!

I had picked up several cones of oiled yarn a while back that I was planning on using for Aran sweaters. It would be a lot easier to calculate my gauge with the clean bulky yarn so on the noddy it went. After a bath, I ended up with this small mountain of yarn.


Eek! I don't think I ever knew just how much yarn one cone holds......
