Stinky Cheese

It's the best kind. I picked up a Pyramid, an aged raw milk goat cheese, and a wedge of Redmondo from Juniper Grove Farms at last Saturday's Farmer's Market. Both are delicious! Sharp, tangy, and funky!
Nathan obviously thinks so as well. Some people think that a toddler loving stinky cheese as much as ours does is weird. But he is our son after all so maybe it's not that weird.

And the final resting place for the Pyramid? A fantastic grilled sausage, apple, and goat cheese pizza. We tasted a similar pizza at Cyderworks Farms on Sauvie Island a few weeks ago. An interesting combination but it works. And on grilled pizza dough? Sublime! Seriously, if you've never grilled pizza, you have to try it. It's an easy way to get that wood burning oven taste without building a brick edifice in your backyard and buying stock in timber companies. Click on for the recipe...

He is our grandson after all - must be in the genes.
