Enfin!

Ribby? C'est finis! And you thought I'd tell you I'm still knitting the sleeves.

This weekend was for finishing. I finished and blocked the sleeves on Friday so was ready to start putting her together on Saturday. I started with the dreaded zipper. Aided by Bonne Marie's excellent tutorial, I began and immediately skidded to a stop in the face of disaster. Despite measuring the front panels at least five times, the zipper was an inch too long! A quick google and zipper surgery ensued at which point I was too traumatized to continue. Not to mention that it was close to midnight and I was tired.

Sunday morning, Mr. Singer & I came to an uncomfortable understanding thanks to the completely useless owner's manual. The zipper insertion instructions were wrong for this particular application resulting in me picking out stitches on the first piece three (yes, three) times! I muddled through and now we're zippin'!

Et voila! The finished product. It was a fun knit until I got to the boring sleeves but the end result makes up for all that.

Now I can start a new project.....
