I felt my latent Martha Stewart tendencies bubbling out after a two year hiatus (childbirth & moving tends to leave you without any energy for much more) and I broke out the glue gun (*gasp*) for some decorating projects yesterday--specifically to put together some apple & pepperberry bunches. While they do look good surrounding the hurricane of gold balls, their final resting place is a Williamsburg-inspired wreath and garland. My family used to take trips out to Colonial Williamsburg when I was growing up and we fell in love with the fruit & nut wreaths they had on all the homes during the holidays. My mom even planted boxwood in her garden to recreate them! Now, I was not inspired enough to make my own wreath and garland from fresh greens (thank you Costco), but I sure had fun decorating the base with the apples and spices.
