Striking a "Cord"

The fiber goddess was good to me this past holiday season gifting me with lots of fun fiber goodies: handspun yarn, Addi Turbo needles, and a whole pile of books. The most interesting gift came from my sister.

This is a lucet. A lyre shaped tool which makes cord. It's a nifty little gadget and really fun to use. I wish I had one to help out with my holiday knitting.....
