Fiber Interlude

My pledge to rest from knitting lasted, oh, about six hours before I picked up the needles again. While there are four works-in-progress on my sidebar, only two are really active; on the left, a blanket square for a blankie knitalong I'm participating in and on the right, the back of Kinsale, Nathan's Aran.

I really should just finish my wrap cardi. It's seamed. I just have to crochet the border and knit the ties. *shrug*

Several people asked about how to use the lucet. This particular lucet is The Rouge Lucet made from brown African Iroko wood from the Lucet Lady. Essentially, you use the forks of the tool to help make a series of knots which then become your cord. It's really easy and once you get the hang of it, it's like stockinette stitch....pretty mindless. Now I just have to start a project which needs i-cord. The pretty teal cord stayed in Arkansas and will likely become bootie ties for Mila.
